Cell phone policy

I don't know why people hate it so much when people talk on their cells in public restrooms.
Supposedly it is bad manners.


I think it is good manners when my neighbors use the phone in a public restroom. It means they are distracted and not listening to me. Then I don't feel self conscious about my man size poop plops.


And I don't take offense when people potty on the phone with me. It means they love me so much, that they don't want to say goodbye, even for something as necessary as a bad case of the tinkles. When Cell phone technology advances to where you can smell what the other person is doing, well, then I will change my mind about the whole potty thing.


Now, as for talking on the cell while someone is ringing up your groceries, that is rude.

Favorite Friday: Sarasa

I remember in H.S. when gel pens became cool. They never, however, lived up to their hype. They awlays clogged and dried out... but they had such pretty colors.

Gel pens were just full of promises they didn't intend to keep.

Then, one dark and stormy night, brett discovered the Zebra Sarasa, and I have been in love ever since. I still have favorite ball points, etc, but these are my favorite gel pens ever. So bright, so soft, so fluffy, so kissable... and they don't get const-ink-ipated.

Okay, so origionally I was going to share with you one of my recent guilty pleasures (and yes, I feel the shame) BAM, by Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly), but then, while looking up the video, I discovered that her co-star Jeanette Mcurdy ("Sam") is also launching a music career.

It's Country (which some of you will hate) but I think I might like it.

Make-it Monday: Wine Glass Charms

I love wine glass charms, I just hate the one's I see.
I seriously don't understand why every wine glass charm I see in stores is tacky or made of cheep (and it shows) materials. Isn't the point of wine glasses to look classy, pretty, elegent?

Okay, maybe the point is to get drunk on something more expensive then beer, but since I don't drink, I only use wine glasses to look classy, pretty, and elegant.

Back in November, I decided to make a series of wine glass charms as a Thanksgiving idea for my magazine's blog (work). I don't think I ever posted what I made, so I thought I'd share it here.

Not all are equally classy/pretty/elegant, but even the worst of them looked better than most of the one's I see while out prop shopping.

Favorite Friday: Glass Markers.

Aren't these absolutely adorable!

After resisting the urge to buy them at home goods in May, I broke down and bought them at TJ Max in June. I love (the potential of) wine glass markers (I'll post some that I made on Monday), but what does one do when they wish to use cups instead of wine glasses? This question has plagued me for years. Seriously.

We had some people over for a bbq/swim/games on Sat july 3rd. I painted my face like this.

1. It seamed to confuse people.
2. I tried making more cake pops, but used chocolate melts instead of almond bark, and it was NOT a success. I didn't put them out to share
