the count of fortune.

Many of you have already heard this, but Friday evening, my dog ate snail poison. My mother forgot to tell me she put it out in the front, where the dogs don't spend much time.

Fortunately, Brett saw him eat it.

Fortunately (and unfortunately) my neighbors dog died several years ago from eating some, and so I knew it could kill him.

Fortunately my sister thought to call poison control. (I thought they were just for people).

Fortunately, we had Hydrogen peroxide I finally bought a few months ago.

Unfortunately for Polo, we had to force it down Polo's throat.

Fortunately he didn't hate me for doing it.

Fortunately the father of one of my childhood friends is a well respected vet and lives really close by.

Unfortunately, I haven't spoken to them in years and years and interrupted their dinner.

Fortunately my sister came with us and talked to them before I came in, because I was getting teary.

Unforntuately I never thought I would get so bent out of shape about a pet. Lets face it I totally love a dog. (hey, he closes the door after he comes in... how could you not love such a thoughtful dog)

Fortunately Polo vomited up all the foamy hydrogen peroxide, and the snail bait came up quick enough that he didn't seam to absorb any of the poison.

Fortunately Dr. Hinebaugh reasured me that the poison hadn't been in long enough for it to do anything, and we didn't have to do anything else.

Fortunatley He not only told me that I didn't owe him a thing, but also offered to give my dog snake vaccinations at his home next week.

Unfortunately, Polos tummy wasn't very happy and he we had to sleep on the hard wood floor so I could easily clean up his non foamy grosser vommit all night long.

Unfortunatley we had to deprive him of all food for 24 hours because food keept upsetting his tummy.

Fortunately Polo got spoiled today with a white rice and chicken diet. No dog food today. Allllllll human food.

We bought pet safe snail poison yesterday to replace this evil stuff.

repentant legos

So, for some really stupid reason, the primary decided that Fast sunday was a great time to have a teacher improvement meeting for an hour and a half after church.

At the end I had two minutes to equate the prop they gave me with a gospel principle.

I had two Legos, and repentance.

I totally rocked it.

Now if only they taught me how to get 11 year old boys to stop being so melodramatic every time one of them farted.

90%?

In stake conference to day, someone referenced a survey (I wish I had the reference) where the LDS church paid a research group to survey people. I think it was somewhere here in california, but I don't remember for sure, I wasn't really thinking about that part

After pulling out (Discarding) responses from LDS Members they got the following results:

90% of people believe that they will be with their families after they die. Not 10%, not 50%, but 90%.
0% said that their church teaches that families remain together after death.

You know what I call that?

Instinct.

email junkie

I now have 5 gmail addresses. Sick, right?

I've got
1. my personal email
2. MY junkmail, for all those sights like amazon, b and H, facebook notifications, etc.
3. One that I used to set up a secondary--buffer from this blog-- blog. This blog is just a list of other peoples blogs that I don't want to put on my own blog. You see, when you view someone's blog (If you didn't already know this), there are ways for them to see how you got to their blog... whether you typed the address in manually (which I don't want to remember everyone's address), if it came up in a google search, or if you were linked there from another site. So if I put their link on my blog, they would know that I occasionally stop in to see what they are up to...which is sometimes fine, but sometimes I don't want them to think I am checking them out when I really only browse their blogs once every few months. Also, I don't always want them reading my blog, so I don't want them connecting back to it. yes, people will find me, and that is okay. I just don't want people secretly reading my blog and me not knowing about it. I might say something stupid and offend them... because we all know that I occasionally complain about things like how wymount is stupid, and the ward activities are cheesy and I am so glad that I am not there anymore. If I offended you, I did my best to protect you by making my blog harder to find for people I didn't solicit. it is your own fault for not letting me know you are here. ha. THis one forwards any mail to my junkmail.... but no one has this adress, so it doesn't matter
4. I set up another address for setting up my extended family blog. I didn't really need it, now that I think of it. I could have just put another blog under my name. I think Iwas innitially planning on keeping it separate so that my own personal blog didn't show up when you clicked on my profile... but who cares. it is just family, and I am not stupid enough to insult family online :) this one also forwards to my junkmail, for me to sift through at my disposal... but seeing as only like 1 person has written it to request permission to post, it was even more pointless for me to set up this account. .. I can't cancel the email without canceling the blog, can I?
5. Today I set up yet another adress... cause I wanted to actually comment on someones blog with out them knowing for sure who I was by(A) linking to this blog, (B)linking to the family reunion blog which could point to me (C) linking to my junkmail which actually links back to this blog, because my junkmail contributes to this blog (sometimes I don't want to log out of junkmail so I can post on here, so for laziness I just authorized my junk to post to this and made the profile name match to avoid confusion), or (D) linking to blog of blog lists where they could possibly deduct my identity based on other blogs I am looking at (although I suppose that they could still figure it out by comparing the link I got to them from with the name of a comment posted at about the same time... oh well, that still won't give them this blog). This one could come in handy though for commenting on those public blogs i almost never read, where there are hundreds of readers I don't want clicking on my name/profile from my comments and reading my blog.

And if you do read my blog and I don't know it, don't let all my crazy procedures scare you off. IF I know you, I probably won't mind too much. might as well rip off the bandaid and let me know you are hear (and then I can hope I never said anything mean) and if your family, your pretty much guaranteed a welcome.

wow, that was long and probably boring. but if you read it, you learned that I have an email identity illness.

And sometimes people get promoted from secret blog to this blog when I decide they are interesting enough and that I don't mind if they read this one. Congratulations Sarah, Kelsey, and Lisa. you were deemed worthy when I commented on your blogs using my user name for this blog.

Back to U(tah)

So after talking with counselors today, Brett has changed his plan from going back and getting second major to taking a few prerequisites, then getting a computer science Masters degree. Sounds fancier, costs more, takes about the same amount of time... So it is pretty much 95% certain that we will be returning to gloomland.

and that is what we know so far.

Brett didn't like it.

But not as much as he disliked this one

He said (of the above) the floor boards bowed when you walk on them, and his sister said she felt like she had to be sterilized after being inside

Here is one in Provo I like...
though I haven't seen the inside... and techincally it is not yet for sale, the owners are catching up on their payments, and the bank probably just posted the tentative sale up on sights to scare them into paying their mortgage. it's too mysteriously cheep. But it is ipretty and has a huge yard, and a 2 car garage. TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

This is one brett is looking at tomorrow. It is really close to the U of U

Check out the awesome kitchen! ha ha ha.

It sucks not to be there for my own first home shopping experience.

best house ever

Okay, maybe not, but after taking a one week break from addictive house shopping, we found this supper sweet deal. 3 times bigger than wymount, and pretty cheep. Brett wants to start driving right now so we can look at it in the morning.

I think it's cute...except for that bathroom.... makes me wonder what the "finnished basement will look like.

Or not to buy

So, I had this code to get a free 20 page 8x8 book from shutterfly, but got busy and didn't start the book until a few hours before the deadline. I finished it a few hours too late, because I kept moving stuff around... hoping they wouldn't notice (but knowing that deep down inside this was there goal.)

So now I am trying to decide it if is worth the 35 (with shipping) to print this out. On one hand, I know I could do better with more time, on the other hand, it took me 3.5 years to try and put something together.... and I guess I can always print several books, redue it down the road.

So I'm deciding. I like my cover.

After 3 years of threats

I have gone and done it. I now officially have a motorcycle permit.  (and a temp CA drivers license)

This is me eating my glasses because even though stupid Utah put corrective lenses required on my license, I purposely went in there without glasses on and took the test and Ca took off my corrective lens requiremnt. Now I only have to wear them when I wanna.

THis is me smiling because my test is smiling. I got 100% on both the drivers and motorcycle test. The girl said I was the first she'd seen to get 100% on the momo test, so she gave me a smiley.

and here my eyes are raining because it is all rainy outside and I probably shouldn't take my first motorcycle permit day outside in the rain.

Almost legal

Last week both my sister and I, at separate places, had people tell us that they thought we were 17 (well technically I was 17 and she was "under 18"). Strange how in the same week people could misjudge both our ages so extremely... I mean that's a 3 months shy of a 10 year difference for me.

No Kidding

So glad the drivers handbook made an illustration for this one
