Sprinkler Saturdays

This Saturday Brett helped Nathanial lay down some sprinkler in the back yard. I did a little work to, but only for like 45 minutes... 'cause I am only so cool. I got some pics of my dog that I love too. I figure it has been a long enough time since I have posted picture of him, so I am not too pathetic.

I am so excited to get his yard landscaped because of the below. technically we will be gone before it is done, I'm sure, but it is still exciting.

I believe the scientific name for it is "evalis totalis.."

THey will kill your feet. They have these thorns on them I didn't bother photographing. they will pop your bike tires. you cannot walk anywhere in the yard without them imbedding in your feet. yOu put your hands down for any reason, they stick there too. 30 seconds walking around, pull 20 thorns from your shoes so they don't end up in your carpet. if they get in your skin, it stings when you pull it out. It will be so nice to have grass back there so that the kids can play in the yard. (not even polo can avoid them.

Polo. He's dirty from sitting on mounds of dirt so he can sunbathe without getting stung by the crazy thorns, but the dirt adds some nice "shading."






The neighbors have chickens. The neighbors are nice and let them out to stretch their legs and eat green beans and such. Apparently they won't cross over the sprinkler ditches. Polo likes to stare at them.

For lack of better post

Don't have time to be exciting, so instead I am posting things I created for work's blog they put out for BT.

Most of these are not published yet. I love that I can write them ahead and schedule a time for Wordpress to publish them. I wish Blogger did that.

Anyhow, these are "peeks" at my "favorite" pieces for each month. yes, I know "favorite" is in quotes. That is because I rarely love jewelry. I don't wear much at all. I often pick them for the colors, or because I love the photos I took, or because (they are too bold for me... but) I could see someone else I know wearing it, or because I am impressed with the beader's skill. Doesn't mean I would wear it... because jewelry annoys my flesh.

photoshop dress

So I found this cheep dress on Shade. Not all that excite by it (and haven't tried it on). Don't know what happened, they used to have some really cute dresses. Now they only make ugly ones.

Anyway, even though I probably wont buy it, I was playing around with the idea of jazzing it up with ribbon. I think my favorites are 1, 2, and 9
